I’m Summer Thorn, CPA and MBA. I spent over a decade in the U.S. Air Force, where I learned discipline, clarity, and resilience the hard way. Afterward, I trained as an accountant, worked as an auditor, and then built Dope CPA, one of the first cannabis-focused accounting firms in the country. In 2024, I launched Ondara to bring something bigger to the table — not just accounting, but coaching, strategy, and execution.
Yes, I’m technically a CFO — but I’m so much more than that. My superpower is clarity. I cut through noise, shame, and avoidance to get straight to what matters: where your money is going, what story your numbers are telling, and what it means for your future. I don’t flinch at silence or hard conversations — I listen, I document, and I reflect back exactly what’s standing between you and your goals.
What I bring isn’t just financial strategy — it’s accountability, perspective, and the ability to translate complexity into action. If you want hype, I’m not your coach. If you want someone who will tell you the truth, challenge your excuses, and move you into execution, that’s what I do best.

THE ONDARA
STORY
Ondara was born on the water. In 2023, after building a thriving firm but running on empty, I stepped away for a week at a surf camp in Costa Rica. For the first time in years, I did something with no purpose but joy. No networking. No deadlines. Just waves.
Surfing gave me the business lessons I didn’t know I was missing:

That trip became the seed for Ondara. Onda means both “wave” and “water.” The wave represents how business can crash into you — sudden, unpredictable, relentless. The water represents how a sovereign CEO responds — steady, fluid, refusing to force decisions that don’t align.
